Are my goals shallow or dumb..?
.. or unrealistic etc?
When I return to L.A, things are either going to work out with this one girl or not. <– That's one path.
Probably not.
If they don't work out, then my goal is to brush up my skills and become an expert, or better yet, a master of the Venusian arts- a "player" in the game of seduction.
I will overcompensate for not having the “love of my life” by sleeping with at least 30 women in 2011.
30 HOT women!
I will buy a more expensive car; decorate my place feng sui style; get Lasik surgery; and start going to the gym 3 times a week. That’s just personal development shıt.
I’ll also go clubbing 3 times a week. Hit on women way out of my league every time. Keep notes on what works and what doesn’t- trying all the pick up lines in the book. NLP/Hypnotism shıt, bodylanguage skills, everything.
Wow, that last path seems so much more interesting, huh?
I’m on my third NLP book now and it seems believable, some of it at least. Haven’t tried it yet.
I probably have to put some of my work to the side but I can survive a year as a lazy (besides party) bastard anyway. Besides, I could use the “vacation”.

Am I too weird to date?
I am a young woman and am currently single. I have just finished my Masters of Fine Art and am now thinking more seriously about dating again. I am currently working as an artist and yoga teacher and I am told I am attractive. I am vegetarian and do not smoke, drink or take drugs. I am interested in astronomy, physics, philosophy, psychoanalysis, politics, cinema, music, art and general cultural studies. My hobbies are playing piano, stargazing, chess and I’m also into esoteric studies such as tarot, astrology, eastern religion, magic etc although it’s mostly an academic, personal development thing I don’t go to tarot readers all the time etc I’m just a very curious and open person.
I have been focusing on my studies for a few years now and would like to date but my friends say that I’m too weird and guys would find my interests off putting and would be freaked out by all the books in my apartment (I do have thousands!). They think I should tone down who I am to attract a guy but isn’t that misleading? I don’t expect him to share all my interests one or two would be enough. I’m also a warm person and a decent cook so not all cerebral! So tell me am I really to weird for a man to like me?
Well when I was younger, I read so much I was a bit of a know it all but the older I get and the more I learn it becomes ever more apparent to me that I know nothing! Still it’s fun being curious!

Try putting everything you just wrote here into a personals ad.
Then screen through the responses until you finally have a guy who can discuss a good many of your interests in a reasonably intelligent fashion, and actually knows what you’re talking about.
From piano concertos to chess moves, etc.
Believe it or not, there ARE men out there who are both sexy and smart; and refined.

Personal thought, idea…..feeling?
Intermixing with the opposite sex is a highly sensitive area for Afghans who view it as wrong. Many Afghan youths my age [high school] had difficulty meeting each other because of the social hesitation to allow them to mingle freely at weddings or other social gatherings. In Islam, a man and a woman are allowed to speak to each other and see each other in order to decide whether their relationship has a future and can lead to marriage. But according to the Afghan code, if one is discovered doing that, especially if that person is a girl, she becomes marked. And when these meetings do not result in any kind of long-term future, as is often the case, then the girl is even more ostracized because she is seen as loosely trying everyone out. (Source: Torn between Two Cultures: An Afghan-American Woman Speaks Out [p. 72], by Maryam Quadrat Aseel, 2003, Sterling, VA: Capital Books.) Maryam Quadrat Aseel describes interpersonal relationships for those of the Afghan culture. Do you appreciate the freedom that youth in North America have regarding intermixing with the opposite sex throughout their growth and development? What kind of reaction would you expect if codes, even limited ones, were established in the United States to govern, regulate, and control the interpersonal relationships that occur from elementary grades through high school?

Admin answers:
Any limitation on personal freedom is wrong if it is not to protect the majority from harm ( i know “harm” can be subjective but generally speaking) i love the fact that i can date any girl of any race or belief or non belief or even sexuality (straight or bi). That’s why as a society we need to constantly change our views and methods. Eventually some ways can become obsolete, hence pushing equal rights for women and minorities. I personally believe that even religion hinders freedom and the unification of us as a single people. We’d have a huge fight if anyone wanted to take freedom from anyone, anywhere.
